Adventure Is Out There

Why are we so drawn to adventure? Is it the thrill of the unknown and the thrill of discovering new things? Or is it the thrill of something new or the thrill of making new experiences?

Many people around the world have a desire to seek adventure. Some of us are more eager to seek adventure more than others are, but ultimately everybody seeks adventure in one way or another. We don’t need to go outside and travel for adventure, since we can just merely seek it through our jobs, relationships, careers, and everyday life. The thrill of adventure excites us all.

It’s good to seek adventure instead of staying at home doing nothing. You don’t need to travel around the world for adventure because you can find it by just going outside and walking around. Even just a little adventure is good for you.

I myself have gone on a few adventures myself, even though I’m still in high school. During the past summer, I have gone to places like Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove State Park, Turtle Rock Trail, and Corona del Mar with my friends. We just drive up to new places, park out car, and just walk around and discover new things. We usually hike on trails, walk around the beach on the sand, go downtown to different cities, or just go on a cruise down Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).  Every adventure is always different, unique, and memorable.

Why is going on an adventure good?

1) It’s good to try something new

Most of us wake up everyday and have the same daily routine without trying new things. Some of us are afraid of trying new things because we are afraid of the unknown. We fear that others will judge us if we try something new and fail at it. We don’t want to be embarrassed for looking like an idiot because we did something wrong.  We fear being outside of our comfort zone because anything new can feel awkward and stressful, so we just fall into more comfortable things. You shouldn’t be afraid to try new things because you don’t want to live the rest of your life with regrets for not doing what you could’ve and should’ve done. You never know what you are going to find unless you try. You Only Live Once so make the best out of it and try something new.

2) Adventures help create Memories

Every adventure that you will go on will always be different from other adventures. Some will be more memorable than others, but they all will affect you one way or another. They will give us great, pleasant memories for you to reminisce upon. You can learn something from reliving all your adventures. Going on adventures will give you an opportunity to share to the world what you have done. There will be life-lasting memories that you will remember forever.

3) Adventures can change your outlook on life

You will discover new things every time you go on adventures. You can discover influential people who will change the way you think and the way you act. You will see new things that you have never seen before that will change your life. You can learn new things about the world around you. For example, you see the sunset and start appreciating nature more and the beauty behind it.

I can personally say that going on adventures have changed who I am. I am healthier because I walk and run around when I go on adventures. I am happier because I am able to create long-lasting memories that I can share with my friends. I am now more self-confident, take more risks, and try new things. Adventures have changed my life and given me an opportunity to try new things and see the whole world around me.

The question now is: Why not go an on adventure?

Leave the house and go on adventures. Make memories that can last a life-time. The only thing that is stopping you from going on adventures is yourself.
